These products are used with Wind Machines to control the
charge on a batery or to to limit the output voltage and protect the wind generator and grid intertie inverter
when it is offloaded (For example-full battery or grid intertie inverter goes off-line for any reason)
to prevent damage wind machine.
Models are available to charge control a battery charged from a wind machine,
heat water from a wind machine, or as a voltage clamp on grid-inter inverters
operating directly from a wind machine to prevent wind machine damage.

This controller, tested by Bergey, is designed to take the output of the well reviewed Bergey 24 V windmill and charge a 48 V battery bank.
